Backend Developer Paid Intern

GITGI is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Backend Developer Paid Intern to join our engineering team. This internship is designed for students and aspiring software engineers who want to gain hands-on experience building backend systems, REST APIs, database-driven applications, and real-world software solutions.

The intern will work alongside experienced developers on real-world projects across FinTech, real estate, and other business applications. You will have the opportunity to learn modern backend development practices, work with databases and APIs, participate in code reviews, and contribute to real-world projects.

Internship Expectations

This is an intensive, project-based internship requiring commitment, discipline, and continuous learning. Interns will participate in team meetings, complete technical assignments, contribute to real projects, and receive regular feedback from mentors.

• Strong understanding of JavaScript

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Node.js

• Familiarity with Express.js or similar backend frameworks

• Understanding of REST APIs

• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or MySQL

• Knowledge of Git & GitHub

• Must have at least one backend project to demonstrate (GitHub/Portfolio/Live Demo)

• Good problem-solving and analytical skills

• Good communication skills

• Ability to learn independently and work effectively in a remote environment

• Students or recent graduates pursuing Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field are encouraged to apply
